Since I mentioned appreciation for YOU, I wanted to take a moment to extend my sincere gratitude for those that sent me wonderful cards and goodies for Teacher Appreciation Day (or as I called it, my birthday)! We had a great week for Catholic School's Week and getting to feel truly appreciated was an even better way to celebrate my birthday!
I hope that everyone is feeling revived and rested after vacation. Besides multiplication, we are working hard to get more grades for Science and S.S., and we continue to make good progress with our reading anthology.
Lastly, I wanted to extend a reminder and invitation of encouragement for you to attend the presentation NEXT Monday, March 5th, at St. Rose from 6p-7p. Kids Haven will be available for students, however, they need to be pre-registered by Feb. 28th. The topic is Cyber-bullying and Internet Safety. I know that 3rd graders are still young and these seem like topics that may not apply to your children, but the reality is that if your child has any kind of electronics or game system that has internet capabilities, they fall into these risk categories. It's never too early to listen to the speaker, Brian Lamoureux (a St. Rose alumni), and gather some tips you might find helpful down the road!!!
